Our Voices, Our World Pakistan / India Earthquake Relief Benefit
Jan. 31, 2006 - Not only did we raise enough funds for Mercy Corps to save close to 100 people's lives, but it was an extraordinary experience for hundreds of young people and others who attended it. Diana Ayton-Shenker is the Regional Director of Mercy Corps, which is a $200 million Refugee Aid organization. She said, "This We, The World event was one of the best events I've ever participated in!"
Visual Voices 13-Part half hour TV Series
A new and unusual look at how voices in media, the arts and beyond are shaping our world was co-produced by We, The World and was broadcast on the Dish Network, available in 15 million homes. The series features people who are using their artistic, writing, public speaking and media skills to create a peaceful, caring, just and sustainable world.
Student-UN Videoconference Series
Building Peace and Security in the 21st Century linking the U.N. with young people and featured speakers from around the world. The videoconferences each involved hundreds of students, faculty and others (close to 1,000 total). Students and faculty interact with speakers and come away informed, inspired and motivated to participate in many different kinds of peace activities. Education Update (a newspaper that reaches 200,000 parents, educators, and students) has made our Sept. videoconference the Cover Story of their 8th Anniversary issue! Interdependence Day
Co-Existence or No Existence - In proclaiming Interdependence Day, we are acknowledging that we are all connected, and that when one thread in the web of life is sundered, all are diminished. Where equity and mutual respect prevail, all benefit. Interdependence Day is a day of celebration, information and action. In September 2002 We, The World launched Interdependence Day at the Johannesburg World Summit on Sustainable Development at the Sacred Place in Ubuntu Village.
Peace in the 21st Century: An Imperative for Survival
Understanding the Past - Shaping the Future In response to the September 11th tragedy We, The World sponsored this historic event which featured speakers and views that the major media largely chose not to air. One day after the start of the bombing of Afghanistan participants heard the moving and informative words of Daniel Ellsberg, Jane Goodall, Robert Thurman, Amy Goodman, Richard Falk, Alice Slater, Robert Jay Lifton, Reverend Billy, and many others in an open dialogue about what led to this crisis, alternatives to war and ways forward that emphasize prevention. Portions of this event were broadcast on Radio for Peace International with a global listenership of 800,000 people!

Art for Children's Sake
The mission of Art For Children's Sake is to connect artists who wish to make a difference with the organizations who are steadfastly addressing the conditions that rob children of their innocence: hunger, poverty, disease, forced labor/slavery, refugee crises, forced military duty. We, The World generated publicity and helped raise over $1,300 for an International Youth Peace Conference in March 2003 on HIV/AIDS and Peace Education sponsored by the Apeadu Peace Center in Ghana. One of the youth beneficiaries said, "I was inspired by the passionate drive for change in my global peers. I was inspired by the beauty and richness of my first trip to Africa. I was inspired by the deep spiritual awakening which seemed to pulse through the conference. But most of all, I was inspired with gratitude. Thank you..."
Water Voices From Around The World
This historic beautiful and compelling book will be distributed to all the Ambassadors and heads of state at the United Nations. It is filled with hundreds of gorgeous photos and letters to the People of the World on all aspects of the issue of water in the 21st century. Included are letters from Archbishop Desmond Tutu, Ted Danson, Jane Goodall, Kofi Annan, Maude Barlow, Leonardo DiCaprio, Mikhail Gorbachev, Pete Seeger, Vandana Shiva, Dr. Masaru Emoto and others including one from Rick Ulfik representing We, The World!
The Parliament of the World's Religions (Capetown South Africa)
December 1999 - We, The World held 2 workshops at this historic gathering that included Nelson Mandela and the Dalai Lama.
Re-Imagining Politics & Society At The Millennium
Creating A Just, Caring, and Sustainable World (Riverside Church and Columbia University New York City). May 2000 - We, The World co-sponsored and Rick Ulfik was a principal organizer of this massive, historic 4-day event that combined 7 major conferences in one and featured 252 internationally recognized speakers.
